Annual Report 2015-2016

Church members who are 55 years and above participate in the Seniors fellowship meeting. We meet regularly on 2nd Friday of every month at 10 am at the chapel and end by 1 pm.
The average attendance is about 20. Many members are now unable to come for the meeting due to old age and many other personal reasons. Efforts are being made to bring more people to this meeting.
The meeting begins with Holy Communion Service. After the Holy Communion Service, the meeting continues with Songs, reading of Psalm and prayers. Birthday and wedding anniversary celebrants are greeted with songs and are remembered in special prayers.
The message is given by one of the Vicars or any participant member. The participants share their experiences and witnesses for a while. Topics of general interest are discussed.
The Bible study is for about 20 minutes, most often led by one of the participants and moderated by Achens. Members do actively participate in the study and discussion.

Bible study is followed by Bible quiz.
In the entertainment session, we have Lucky Dip, games like musical chair, passing the parcel, finding the product, puzzles and general knowledge quiz, jokes, fun with arithmetic, Thambola etc.Prizes for lucky dip and some other games are sponsored by members. After the meeting, we
have fellowship meal at about 1 pm prepared in the CSI women’s hostel.
Our church observed 15th Nov 2015 as Senior Citizens Sunday. The Seniors assisted the divine services. Special prayers were offered on that day for the aged and sick. Adv. P.K.G Tharakan and Lissy Kochamma preached during the English and Malayalam services respectively.
20 members of the seniors’ fellowship went on a picnic to Aywoor Bethania, an Ayurvedic Research Center, at Trichur. The transportation, food etc. was provided by them. It was really a memorable and enjoyable time for the Seniors.
We remember with thanks to the Lord, the life and services of Mr. A.C Mathew and Mr. P.D Benjamin who were called to their heavenly abode during the reporting period.
We are being helped by many people in the Church in sustaining this fellowship and we thank all of them. We acknowledge with thanks, the help rendered by our women’s hostel in preparing lunch for us. We remember with great gratitude, the role played by our Achens and their families. We thank them for their co-operation, guidance and participation with great enthusiasm. We also thank the
sexton, Shibu and all others who have been helping us with the arrangements for the monthly meeting and other activities. We are hopeful that more members from our congregation will come forward to participate in this fellowship.
